Dr. Sanjay Bahl, Director General of the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), announced that India’s cybersecurity ecosystem has reached new milestones, now comprising over 400 startups and 6.5 lakh professionals, contributing to a $20 billion industry. During an interactive session with journalists from EU countries in New Delhi, Dr. Bahl highlighted the innovative efforts of Indian companies developing advanced solutions in threat detection, cyber forensics, and AI-based monitoring, underscoring India’s dedication to building a secure digital environment.
He emphasized how CERT-In utilizes AI-driven analytics and automation tools to identify, prevent, and respond swiftly to cyber threats in real time. The session, organized by CERT-In in partnership with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the Ministry of External Affairs, also covered CERT-In’s roles in crisis management, vulnerability assessments, information sharing, and coordinated cyber incident response.
